WeSubsea is acquired by Ashtead Technology

Acquisition completed in September 2022

Ashtead Technology has acquired WeSubsea as part of its plans to expand its mechanical solutions service offering.

The acquisition underlines Ashtead Technology’s ambition to be a global leader in IMR and decommissioning through providing one of the widest subsea equipment and service offerings in these fields to support customers’ operations across the offshore energy sector.

The WeSubsea range of dredging technology will complement Ashtead Technology’s extensive range of dredging, cutting, coating removal and ROV tooling solutions and services.

WeSubsea was founded in 2010 and is well established in the major offshore energy regions. Applying more than 30 years of knowledge and expertise from the subsea and dredging sectors, WeSubsea systems are designed for speed and reliability, to perform consistently in the most demanding, hostile, deep water environments worldwide.

The WeSubsea range of high-performance dredge systems will now be mobilised from Ashtead Technology’s subsea technology hub in Thainstone, Aberdeenshire, UK.
