Ashtead Technology strengthens subsea services with the acquisition of J2 Subsea

In November 2024, Ashtead Technology expanded its subsea survey and rov tooling capabilities with the acquisition of J2 Subsea, a leading provider of ROV tooling products and services. This acquisition strengthens our Survey and Robotics service line, enabling us to offer a more comprehensive range of ROV solutions to support clients in the offshore energy sector.

Since its founding in 2008, J2 Subsea has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, reliable ROV manipulator arm rentals, servicing and repairs, as well as ROV tooling equipment and engineering support for underwater surveys.

This acquisition enhances our ability to provide a wider selection of ROV tools and services, including rental, servicing and repair, along with expert engineering support. Together, we are better equipped to deliver comprehensive, dependable solutions for even the most complex subsea projects.
