Riser / rope cleaning and inspection

Marine growth can significantly increase weight and drag induced fatigue on subsea flexibles and obscure visual inspection. Ashtead Technology’s Riser Cleaning and Inspection System (RCIS) provides a safe and effective means to clean and visually-inspect risers, mooring ropes, umbilicals, and dynamic power cables for sheathing breaches and other anomalies, all without impacting production. Once cleaned, inspection can be performed by using four cameras positioned on the RCIS, to generate a 360° close visual inspection, or a conventional ROV camera. The video feeds from the 360° CVI can further be used to identify changes in outer diameter.
