We will take your current skillset or trade, and apply it to our training programme which will upskill you in the world of Mechanical Solutions at Ashtead Technology. At the end of the programme, you will be a fully-fledged Mechanical Technician!
With an extensive track record, our Mechanical Solutions service line has the capability to provide innovative ‘off the shelf’ and entirely custom technology to suit the unique demands of our customers’ projects.
Ashtead Technology are recognised as the underwater technology experts for the global offshore industry and are engaged in operations spanning across the entire energy sector. Offering a fully integrated service capability, we provide packaged equipment solutions for our customers for various applications, water depths and deployments.
Joining Ashtead Technology as a Mechanical Technician will provide you with a platform to gain practical experience, develop your skills, and explore career opportunities in the company, beyond this programme.
We have opportunities to join our Cutting (Thainstone), Pumping (Fintray) and ROV Tooling (Kintore) teams, which you’ll hear more about throughout the programme.

- Car Mechanic
- Heavy Plant Mechanic
- Heating & Plumbing Engineers
- Gas Engineers
- Hydraulic Technicians
- Service Technicians
- Electrical Engineers
- Marine or Agricultural background
- Ex forces with a mechanical bias

Join one of our dynamic Workshop teams within our Mechanical Solutions service line and gain hands-on experience with our cutting-edge technology, including Cutting, Pumping, and ROV Tooling systems. From the moment you start, you’ll be immersed in a collaborative environment where learning and growth are at the forefront.

Online tests
If shortlisted, you will be sent an online assessment to complete
Assessment Centre
Successful applicants will be invited to attend our Assessment Centre in February. The day will consist of a combination of tasks & activities that will test your suitability for the job
