Ashtead Technology signs asset management agreement in Asia Pacific

7 February 2022

International subsea equipment rental and solutions specialist Ashtead Technology has signed an asset management agreement with an ROV tooling services provider in the Asia Pacific region.

Under the terms of the agreement, Ashtead Technology will service, repair, upgrade, calibrate and store the customer’s regional assets at its technology and service hub in Singapore, ensuring the equipment is in a project-ready condition for mobilisation across the Asia Pacific region.

As part of Ashtead Technology’s asset management service, the company offers industry-leading engineering and calibration workshops, full pre-mobilisation configuration, offshore service and repair, secure storage facilities and 24/7 support. Furthermore, its global asset management system provides up to the minute information on asset availability, utilisation, repairs and access to calibration certificates.

James Christie, Ashtead Technology’s Regional Director for Asia Pacific, said: “The integrity of our asset management service is represented through the quality of our processes, procedures and resources as well as the expertise of our highly-trained personnel, giving customers complete confidence that their assets are maintained to the highest standard and in a permanent state of readiness. Another benefit of our offering is that we can help our customers earn revenue from their fleet by deploying any under-utilised equipment on third party projects.

“Whilst we have been providing asset management services to our customers globally for many years, this is our first key contract in the Asia Pacific region and we hope to continue building on this to increase our market presence and optimise the performance and profitability of our customers’ subsea equipment.”
